We are starting from Cochin on Thursday March 06 2008. I'm writing this in detail because later somebody can us it.
We are heading to Wayanadu. Major places that we are planing to visit is
Wayanadu – Muthanga – Bandipur – Masanagudi – Muthumalai – Ooty -
If we get time, we will come back via Pollachi – Valparai.(That depends up on).
We have the best SUV Scorpio
the CRDe engine is smooth, powerful and incredibly refined. better thanks to a new suspension but this top-heavy SUV still sways and rolls more than you would like it to.

Starts from Kadavathra Cochin at 6.30 PM. single stretch to calicutt via N.H 17 from there Thamaraserri.Stay there.
Friday moring March 07
and again start the trip on frday early morning. A very good view of Ghat section “Thamaraserri churam”. Get ready for shooting...
we will try to enter Muthanga forest on that friday evening and if possible we will move to Bandipur for a night stay (depends on the groups decision) else we'll stay Battery and move to Bandipur Saturday early morning.

We will spend inside the Bandipur/ Muthumalai wild life sanctuary. From there moving to Masanagudi near to Ooty.

I can't say anything on this day because I don't know when we reach Ooty. So this part I am leaving blank. (Later I'll finish this part)
If we reached Coimbatore before Sunday 2.00 we will try to cover Valparai too.
We have to enter Kerala border before 5.00 p.m .So we have to go fast on that time.
This is only my scribbles. Lot of changes may happen. I'll write all the things here
This is entirely giving new expedition to wild life and natural photography. Once again our main attractions on this tour is Jungle Safari and Natural photography.

yes... i will not be able to make it on 7th since my dad planned to come to Bangalore. he changed his schedules many times before since i had some other program. so this time i don't want to make him cancel it, even he is ready. otherwise it will affect my any future plans. so any weekend after 7th is cool for me as of now. well to be frank, I am not used with this pre planned tour programs. so no promises. let it come, we will make. "A good traveler does not have any fixed plans" mind it!

We'll start from here (Kadavanthara HiFx) on 06 Thursday evening 6.00.via N.H 17
to Calicut (225 K.M) from there Thamaraseri..first stay.
We have to discuss about the next days plans.
Most probably Ramesh can bring an SLR Canon camera. I can take my laptop and so that we can transfer the photos quickly and clear the memory stick.

Coorg is s good place. But I don't know if there are any tourist attractions there except Thalakaveri. The climate is very good though. Nagerhole'kku pidichalo ? ;) (94 kms from Mysore)

hey guys,
don't choose coorg. Its not a good season to visit there. And for the stay during this trip, better follow what we did in our last wayanad trip. The first stay near thamarassery which was good and economical, but not sure about its availability. Also in kalpata you can go to the same lodge. Since all these 2 guys are not professional in lodging we will get it in cheap rate. Since the destination is fixed plan the places to visit. because it is not possible to reach all places in wayanad in 3 days. so choose the better places where you can enjoy maximum. and don't miss the jungle safari at any cost as this is the best season to spot animals even it is a luck only. I am not sure about waterfalls, chance is less for having enough water in waterfalls, but you can give a try ... to meenmutty.
dont trust on sajith... let him be in his way.. he will never change :) just see he wil come or not at that time only... thats better for you... ee post avane kaanikkalle...

dhanesh, aa map kollaam. Coorg usually has a wet climate if I remember correctly. But am not sure coz I went there 7 or 8 years back. Also i don't think there are many tourist attraction in Coorg. There's a Tibeten temple or something nearby. I think we can avoid Coorg. How about extending the tour by another day - 4 days in total. Just a thought. Or maybe we can visit Nagerhole another time. Thoughts ?

Aneesh... You are right..as we know, there is no chance to view a watterfalls.we can see only rocks.As you said, better thing is Jungle Safari. At any cost we have to do the arrangement. Our cab is a Sport Utility Vehicle so we don't want to worry about arranging jeeps(If they permitted).
Arun...so we are dropping the coorg.I never say no to your suggestion and ready to extend for 1 more day.

Whats u r suggestions in Wayanad? We are not interested in going to RUSH places like Pookot lake.
Only the natural beauties.

bandhipur sounds good... muthanga we tried once no... all these forests are internally connected... only difference is, it comes in diff states. i suggest bandhipur for jungle safari. And places near masinagudi is Oooty, You can explore it if you want. Masinagudi is also a nice place.. i m not sure.. heard like that.. by the by... who is cherry?

A great plan. but may be try this route.....which is
shorter n narrower but thru gud terrains.
Cochin - Trichur - from trichur_kunnamkulam streatch take a
turn from a place called Kecheri (yusafali kecheri's place).
turn right n de road is narrow but beautiful thru a paady
field. u reach kunnamkulam -calicut highway thru ths
beautiful short cut avoidng traffic @ kunnamkulam
township.from there proceed normalroute all de way to
calicut or even u can take another turn perumpilavu (again
narrow road) but beautiful which goes to via perinthalmanna
to manjeri.from Manjeri take the road to Mukkam (narrow) n
there to tamarasserry but thru beautiful terrain.
tamarasserry take the highway thru ghats to
waynaad_battery_ muthanga_ Bandipur_Mudumalai_Ootty.
for s.battery n muthanga u get permission from S.battery
WLW's office @ battery or Range office @ Muthanga.but the
animalsesp.de elephants are not nature friendly so be
carefuln never get out of de vehicle unlessotherwise
necessary n that too after carefulexamination of de
surroundings.when u stopfor somethng better stop @ a place
with gud visibility. i keralapart n TN/Karnataka part they
don't allow u togo into de forest by ur own.U can use their
vehicles. Again my advise is never take the TN forest
vehcles which is useless n expensive.but the karnatake ones
are great n gud drivers. take the gypsy if u can it costs
around 1200/ (limited numbers) may need booking n advance.
u need to reach the reception @ 0630hrs. otherwse if ucan
afford take the minibus (one bus) just for you all no other
tourists.pay the extra amount n rbibe the driver @ de
beginning itselfn ask him to go to best places where u get
maximum views. TN alsothistrickworks but they're
fooooooolish. n charge like anything from KERALITES!!!
